Who we are

ClockDoc is a personal website and is not associated with any organisation.  The organisers of the ClockDoc website are given on the ‘about ClockDoc’ tab and may be contacted through the ‘contact us’ form.  The ClockDoc website is hosted in the UK by WHUK whose privacy policy is found at https://www.webhosting.uk.com/legal/privacy-policy.

How we use your information

The ClockDoc website does not collect, store or process any personal information from site visitors.  If you provide information for inclusion on the site, we will store your name linked to the information as its copyright holder/provider.  If you contact us through the ‘contact us’ form, your email is passed direct to the organisers as a personal email and is not stored by the website. Such email conversations are then held as personal communications, not by the ClockDoc site.

Cookies and tracking

The ClockDoc website does not use cookies or tracking.

The legal grounds for processing your information

If you email the organisers through the ‘contact us’ form we will respond to your email in a personal capacity using our personal email providers.  Your email may remain in our email systems and we may contact you again if information related to your enquiry or clock interest comes to light subsequently.  This is a legitimate data processing activity since you will have contacted us asking us to respond.

Who we share information with

We will never sell your data or share it with others, unless the sharing relates to a request you have sent to us, in which case we may put you in contact with other individuals anywhere in the world.  We will do this without seeking your specific consent because that is the purpose of your request.

How long we keep your information

We only use your data for the purposes for which it was obtained. It will only be kept for as long as it is required for those lawful reasons.  Because further information may come to light several years after an enquiry, your email may be retained for a prolonged period.  If you wish to have any emails deleted, please contact the individual that you were put in contact with direct.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:

  • to obtain access to, and copies of, the personal data that we hold about you
  • to require us to correct any inaccurate personal data we hold about you
  • to require us to restrict our processing of your personal data
  • to object to us processing your personal data
  • to object to receiving marketing communications from us
  • to withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data
  • to require us to erase your personal data (‘right to be forgotten’)
  • to obtain from us the personal data which you have provided, in order to transmit it to another organization (‘data portability’)

Please note that most of these rights are not relevant to the ClockDoc website due to the minimal information stored. You also have the right to refer your concerns or queries to the supervisory authority, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Consent and your right to opt out

If you send us material for the website we will store your name associated to the material to protect your rights as copyright owner, for which consent is implied by virtue of submission.  You may opt out of this, accepting that your ownership of the material cannot then be protected, by contacting us.

Complaints, enquiries and feedback

If you have an enquiry, a complaint or suggestions regarding our data protection processes, please contact us through the contact form.
